The Copper Settlements
The Copper Settlements are a community of miners and their families living on the sun-baked clay soil of the Abadaya Badlands. Located in the southern region of the Tritos Dominion, the settlements stretch for miles as a series of tentpole villages and tilted shacks. The land was settled and mined long ago, leaving behind a small population of folks who never moved on. While technically under the Crown's authority, the settlements are a mostly lawless and ungoverned place.
Though the people are hardened from life in the badlands, most of the folks in the Copper Settlements get along well with one another, always willing to lend a hand. The people keep a tenuous alliance with their neighbor Crammin, who are occasionally willing to aid when there are brigands nearby. Currently Dusty Mulligan serves as closest thing to an official leader and peacekeeper in the community, although he was stripped of his Lawmaster title years ago.
