The Trident

The Trident is a powerful waterway situated in the Eastlands of Pathriam in the country of the Tritos Dominion. It is most commonly crossed near its source in the Slatetop Mountains, by following The Tintown Bridge. After leaving Tintown the river flows past The Cruel Wood to the port city of Bastor, before its three-pronged head plunges into the Gyre Ocean.   The Trident has existed for centuries as an important trade route used by those living along its shores to ferry goods from Tintown to Bastor. It was vital to the southern portion of the Tritos Dominion's prosperity in years gone by, with large amounts of lumber and ore mined from Slatetop Mountains going downstream towards Bastor for shipment to Leng.   Recent storms have turned the forks of the Trident into a bog preventing most travel in and out of Bastor. Due to the terrain being near unpassable Civil Legion troops have been unable or unwilling to patrol, leading to large increase in crimes along the river's length.
