Slatetop Mountains

The Slatetop Mountains are an imposing natural barrier that separates the northern and southern reaches of the Tritos Dominion in the Eastlands of Pathriam. Originating from Witches Bay on the western coast and ending at the Voris River, these mountains are characterized by high peaks, loose shale, and stone, with only scattered patches of grass for sustenance.

The treacherous footing of the mountains makes them almost impossible to traverse, and as a result, they are largely uninhabited except for herds of goats, wildcats, hares, and rodents that roam their slopes. A few small passes have been carved out near the town of Rastein but are rarely used due to their dangerous nature. Those seeking to travel must go around on either of the far ends or take an airship in or out of Tintown.

Several large mining operations work out of the northern portion of the mountains, supplying necessary materials to Ania and Gnome's Landing. Large caravans of resources, such as silver, stone, and the highly sought-after Hestus Slate regularly travel to the capital.
