The Wyatt Apparatus

In 4,963 DA a city was constructed under the order of the King of Ania. It was called "The City of Tomorrow" and was designed as a military base of operations. After the construction the citizens put all their wealth into creating a device known as The Wyatt Apparatus. The invention was anticipated to completely revolutionize the world and make magic obsolete. Sadly, too many creators, concepts, and aims caused its downfall. In the aftermath, The City of Tomorrow lost its funding and over the years the apparatus became nothing but a relic.   This mysterious machine has been standing in what is now know as Tintown for centuries. It appears to be a large cone filled with all sorts of complex machinery. The structure is made of iron and stone and stands over thirty feet high. A plaque on the front reads: "The Wyatt Apparatus - To build a world where everyone has power. May the City of Tomorrow lead the future."   The abandoned device serves as a constant reminder to Tintown of the consequences of failure.
