The Arda Elowen
The Arda Elowen is an elm tree brought to the city of Lolien from Tensen, the Emperor's seat and capital of Leng. Meant as a symbol of prosperity in the new land, it was planted at Lolien's founding by King Caraconne Tritos. Over the centuries the tree grew into a massive landmark, towering above the southern streets of the city.
During the opening days of The Witch Wars, in 1 UE, the Arda Elowen was the first thing destroyed in Lolien. Initial attacks by Sedatia's hornet riders left much of the tree broken and shattered, used for lumber for by the invading army.
The tree has recently bloomed once again and it is said to be a sign of good luck and fortune. Among the elves of Lolien, some believe the tree is actually a Greenman, a nature spirit of protection.
