Dromadaes

"Matunas, in the crucible of our struggle, I have attained the very core of what we once aspired to. Do not forget the origins from which we emerged, the path we once walked together. My grip on this power is unyielding, and now, we stand on the precipice of even grander accomplishments. If you dare to challenge me, I shall reduce you to ashes, this is my work, my ambition, and I am stronger than you!"

Description

Unbound knowledge and an insatiable yearning for power form the core essence of Dromadaes. As the god of magic, power, and dragons, his domains are deeply connected with the majestic creatures, their spirits intertwined with the very essence of the world. Dromadaes stands as an enduring visage of the limitless potential of magic and the relentless pursuit of dominion.   He teaches that Dromaria is a reservoir of dormant power, its fabric woven with strands of raw, untamed magic. According to his doctrine, only the dragons, paragons of arcane might, can fully harness this omnipotent energy, their spirits resonating with the primal force of the world. Dromadaes suggests that mortals can learn to master this magic by studying these powerful creatures.   Dromadaes' teachings emphasize the inevitable sacrifices required to ascend to greatness. Alliances are tools to be used judiciously, maintained until they no longer serve their purpose, and discarded when they become burdensome. He cautions against complacency, identifying it as the precursor to downfall. His followers are guided to balance the weight of their sacrifices against the lure of what can be achieved, understanding that the road to power is paved with trials.   Both revered and feared, Dromadaes is a figure of commanding presence. As a champion of the Covenant and a ceaseless advocate of power, his wisdom is respected, and his relentless ambition feared. His boundless quest for control knows no limits, a truth that evokes both awe and trepidation among his followers.   Churches devoted to Dromadaes tirelessly uphold the Covenant, employing magic to ensure its preservation.

Modern Depictions

Dromadaes enjoys a large following, and his worshippers honor his memory well. They often depict the god as a black-haired, clean-shaven dwarf clad in simple cotton clothes embellished with protective runes. He is frequently shown either astride a dragon or releasing torrents of arcane power from his hands. A more fearsome depiction popular among the dwarves represents Dromadaes as a massive black dragon that devours everything in its path.   Many Song Stones, filled with Dromadaes' teachings, display his likeness. In addition the Temple of Power, the site of his death, also bears echoes of his life. The temple's waters seemingly replay his story, offering a vivid insight into his persona.
