Better Food Next Time

Better Food Next Time

I'm not entirely certain where I currently am, but judging by the overall look of the land, the brownish gradient to the sky, and the taste of the sandy dirt that somehow found its way into my mouth last night…   ...it all reassures me that I'm still somewhere in the Abadaya Badlands. The smoke belching out into the sky over there and a slight metallic tang in the air lead me to believe I'm outside the Copper Settlements.   As for the rest of my bearings, I still have a pair of pants on and my go-bag, so I'm basically good to go from here.   Honestly, this all feels like a good omen, as I don't think many of the Crammin Chronicler's fine readers (yourself included, as you're currently reading this) are particularly interested in a many-weeks-long deep dive into the extended culinary traditions of our humble hometown. There's only so many ways one can roast a rat on a hot pipe, right?   So I'm off to try something new.   Which brings me, in a roundabout way (as is my idiom) to the whole point of this endeavor:
I, your humble narrator, a.k.a. Bok Globule, am currently embarking upon a worldwide journey to try EVERY food (or at least as many as I can get down my neck) across the whole of Dromaria, starting here in the Southeast, and just kinda working my way around.
Somebody's got to have the best food out there, and I'm just the goblin to settle this particular matter once and for all. As a bonus, I also get the feeling that my editor will be happy to have me out of his office for quite a while.   Best to hit the road... a trackless, hard packed dry dirt and cracked clay.
And so, my dear readers, I'll bring this to a close. As always, thank you for your contributions to the Crammin Chronicler, and remember: keep your eyes sharp and your teeth sharper!

And hopefully, better food next time,
Bok Globule

Author's Note: Well, it's fully been three days since my editor approved my current project (and the significant pay advance that went along with it). I think I might finally feel sober enough to properly begin this thing... …maybe.
