Really good first week! Pleased with what I've written so far, and a quarter of the way through my SC goals.
  Still a way to go, but I've got some ideas brewing for the next few prompts - all in all, looking forward to another productive week!
 

50% of the way there! Two articles down (mostly, I'll definitely be reviewing them either before the end of December) and three more to go :D
 
  Now to spend a lil bit of downtime reading through some of the incredible articles that you guys have written, then back to work worldbuilding in the evening #worldember2023

Really happy with my start to WorldEmber - only one article so far, but already 17% of the way to that 10k! Told myself that today would be a rest day, might write some more this afternoon though because I've really gotten into the flow of things and don't want to waste that creative energy :D

It's that time of year again and this time I'm determined to succeed. To help me out, I've made a pretty simple WorldEmber pledge article, complete with my word count goal and what I'll be doing to achieve that.   With how much I wrote during this year's Summer Camp, I'm confident that I can hit that 10k goal and get the badge. Hopefully some of you will follow along with my progress! And in between all that worldbuilding, I'll be taking some breaks to read through the amazing content that you guys are creating <3

Super happy to have made it through all 31 prompts! And for every prompt to hit my personal word count goal of 750. That's given me a major confidence boost for going into World Ember (if it happens) this year.
  Total word count is 25780. That's not including some of the odd bits of text in the sidebar panel, so in all likelihood it's a little bit higher than that. But yeah, super proud of writing all that over the course of a month, whilst working a full time job, and not burning out because of it. Now though? Onto the actual roundup!
  Gold/Diamond prompt article with the most words? That actually goes to 'The Coup of Castle Tirav', my article for the diamond prompt, with a massive total of 1037 words.
  Gotta be honest, as soon as we got the diamond prompt reveal, I knew what I was going to write about. The big conflict that sets in motion the events of The Wayfarer series. I mean, it's right there! How could I not write about it? (Bonus is that it still fits with my Valissa theme, because they actually help out - anyway, spoilers!!)
  Gold prompt article with the least words goes to Songsworn with 783 words:
  Personal favourite of the gold prompts? Such a tough one, but I think I'm going to have to go with my article for prompt #26, Lillian Horner:
  Congratulations to everyone out there who has already achieved their Summer Camp goal! And for those of you still writing, keep it up, you're on the final stretch now! :D

Now that it's cooled down enough that I can turn my computer on without feeling like I'm cooking alive, here's a bit of a proper roundup for the silver prompts. Then it's straight back to writing those gold prompts :D
  Total word count is now at an amazing 19880 words! Wowza! That means I've achieved at least one goal of my SC pledge - I've gone over my WorldEmber target of 10k words, so hopefully that'll give me a good confidence boost for this year's WE. As it stands, the total word count for the silver prompts is 8158. Which is slightly better than the copper prompts (suprising because I actually found these ones more difficult to write about).

  Personal favourite for the silver prompts? Tough one, but I think I'll have to go with The Curious Case of Captain Ziegler's Mystery Sweetheart. Ahh who am I kidding, I saw that prompt and instantly knew what I was gonna write :P Also I really went all out with that CSS styling - hope you guys appreciate it!

A quick update on this one because it is too damn hot to do one as comprehensive as my copper prompts one (rip me in this heat).
  Despite this abnormally warm weekend, I managed to finish off the last 4 silver prompts! Which means I'm sat on 20/30 since the gold ones are inbound. Might post some personal stats later on in the week when the temps cooled down a bit, but otherwise I'll be focussed on going for gold!
  Good luck to everyone else who is going for the gold badge as well :D

With one day to spare before the next set of prompts are released, all of my copper prompt articles have been submitted. I'm a little gutted because, had I not been hit with a massive headache yesterday, I would have probably written this update yesterday. But oh well! Celebrate your victories where you've earned them (and I think I've earned this one :P )

  And because I've tracked it on a spreadsheet here's a break down of some of the stats for the copper prompts so far: > Total word count - 8132 words > Article with the most words - A Song of Law and Opportunity for prompt #8, which currently sits at 927 words > Article with the least words - SNDY and the Death of Cerberus for prompt #9, which currently sits at 753 words, this one was definitely the hardest for me to write out of the 10 prompts we've had so far > Personal favourite? Gradician Ferrets for prompt #4 - I really enjoyed writing this one and researching ferrets (they're pretty cute guys c'mon) and I hope you guys enjoy reading it :D
  Plan of action until the silver prompts get released tomorrow will be reading through some of the other submissions for prompts and spreading the love! As well as adding some links to my own articles (but let's be honest, that's less important than spreading the love)
